Curious about what tech trends learning and performance improvement professionals think are the coolest? So were we. That\u2019s why we asked attendees at DevLearn Conference & Expo<\/a> 2024 to tell us about the tech trends they learned about at the event that they thought were the coolest. <\/p>

Here\u2019s what they said: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

New strides in video<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Multiple attendees were struck by the new video capabilities that they learned about at DevLearn. One was particularly excited about the ability to make avatars that can be used in training videos instead of having to \u201cworry about getting all done up every time you want to make a video.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another attendee was pleased to learn about technology that extends scenes and sequences in videos. The attendee felt this was a game-changer in helping to avoid re-shoots since one can just alter the video instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improvements in learning design<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One attendee was happy to learn about LMSs that are reaching out to many more platforms. The attendee felt excited to have a platform integrated with other systems instead of being limited by staying inside the LMS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another attendee mentioned localization as an important trend the attendee learned about during DevLearn. The attendee said that an upcoming software that localizes courses would have a \u201cmajor impact for my team.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI reigns supreme<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several attendees mentioned AI as the coolest tech trend. One said that it has, \u201cthe capacity to expand what we do and save time.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another attendee was excited about how AI could help out in the planning phases of a project by crunching numbers and doing analysis. The attendee felt that it takes a lot of time for a person to learn to do analysis correctly, so having AI assist with this step of the process cuts down the time on the project overall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final attendee who mentioned AI said that it was hard to use AI when working on cybersecurity or government contracts. That\u2019s why the attendee was pleased to hear about a closed AI that wouldn\u2019t learn, disperse information, or store information in a way that wasn\u2019t compliant with the attendee\u2019s needs.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
